We turn "what if?"
into things people use
on a Tuesday.
Mutiny Labs provides fractional innovation leadership for organizations with ambitious ideas that are difficult to make real.
Partners we've made things with.
↳ three decades, two worldsThings we
have made.

Some of our best work you won't find here. Much of our commercial work ships under our clients' names, not ours. Senior teams hire us precisely because we don't take the credit.
The long record.
↓ before the mutinyRecognition.
↳ recognized along the way

Awards and press across three decades of the work: Mozilla Firefox Download Day (Webby · Guinness World Record), the Hotel Indigo touch app (W3 · Davey), Toyota & Scion (SME Digital Awards), and more. Presented as record; all marks belong to their owners.
Decide it. Build it. Keep it working.
Some organizations need the decision before the build. Some know exactly what needs shipping. Others already have a platform that cannot be allowed to decay.
Fractional CIO
Fractional Chief Innovation Officer leadership, on retainer or hourly. When the problem or portfolio is still moving, a senior partner joins your leadership table, makes the hard calls, aligns the right people, and stays accountable through delivery.
Projects
Special innovation projects, fee-for-service. When you know the outcome you need, we scope it, ship it, measure it, and hand back a working capability.
Product stewardship
Ongoing stewardship for platforms that cannot quietly decay. We monitor, maintain and improve the system on an agreed cadence, support adoption, and keep a measured backlog of what comes next. Available for systems we build and a small number we inherit.
Senior partner led. Specialists on call.
Working code by week three.
Sense
Pressure-test the brief. Find the real problem.
Frame
Three sharp bets. Build vs. buy vs. partner. Decide.
Prototype
Working code. Not slides. In users' hands by week three.
Pilot
In-market with real customers. Measure. Decision gate.
Hand off
Documented, transferred, ready to run. Senior support stays on call.
Shipped. Used. Kept working.
This is Product stewardship in practice: the three kinds of work a monthly retainer actually buys, and the record behind it.
6 platforms live and maintained today · 20 years as La Voz del Centro's technology partner · a decade+ in automotive · 2,000+ projects shipped
Training and adoption
A build nobody uses is a write-off. We train your people and stay hands-on until adoption sticks: onboarding, playbooks, and time in the tool with your team. Under stewardship this keeps going past handover, because adoption drifts when nobody is watching it.
Whatever comes next
Launch is day one. New features, a campaign microsite, the next release: whatever comes after, from the same senior hands, with the numbers to prove it landed. Improvements come off a backlog we keep with you and work through in the agreed cadence, so the next thing is planned rather than argued for.
Kept working
Monitored, patched, and updated on an agreed cadence, with dependencies tracked and backups verified by restoring them. It works on a Tuesday, and the Tuesday after.
Stewardship is a monthly retainer with a defined cadence and a defined capacity. It is not a help desk and not a managed IT service, and it does not carry round-the-clock emergency cover. It is a senior team keeping a specific platform healthy, useful and current.
It is built primarily for platforms we built ourselves, because that is where we can be accountable for the whole stack. We take on a small number of inherited platforms as well, always after a paid technical review, so both sides know what is actually under the hood before anyone commits to a cadence.
We wrote the answers down.
We kept answering the same questions in the same meetings: about breaches, about what a business owes its users, about what to do in the first hour. So we wrote the answers down properly, with sources, and gave them away. Free. Ungated. No email wall.
Has your address already leaked?
Check any email address against the public breach index, then work through a hygiene quiz and an infrastructure assessment with your own team. No signup, no results gate.
Estafas en Puerto Rico.
Los esquemas que están corriendo en la isla ahora mismo, documentados por los bancos. Escrita para que se la mandes a tus papás, y para que la lean sin susto.
The next CMS is a conversation.
Why the admin panel was always a trade, the four rails that make an agentic content system safe to hand a marketing team, and a live demo you are invited to break.
Own your stack.
The whole practice on paper: inventory, vendor register, access audit, patch calendar, incident one-pager, workspace settings. Print it and fill it in with a pen.
Thirteen guides, one printable workbook.
Deepfake protocols, device rights at a checkpoint, AI at work, everyday surveillance, Puerto Rico web compliance, a dated AI threat record, a first-hour drill for teams, what happened to family photographs when machine learning arrived, and what a private model on one machine in your own office would change.
The next revision, by email.
We send the quarterly brief update and nothing else. Unsubscribe any time.
That is the whole subscription: one email when the brief is re-cut, and nothing in between. The next revision goes out when the record changes shape rather than on a schedule we invented.

Why we give this away. We are a small studio, and we would rather work with organizations that already understand this material. Everything on the shelf is the conversation we would have with you anyway. Writing it down once means the meeting is about your actual problem instead.
Juan C. Sánchez
(Gino).
Three decades redefining the communications business. The receipts are real: a Guinness World Record with Mozilla's Firefox Download Day, touch apps in 60+ Hotel Indigo lobbies worldwide, and Pixelogic, the agency he founded, grew past 2,000 projects, and sold.
Then, instead of retiring, he started over on purpose. Mutiny Labs works across two worlds: as a senior innovation partner to industry leaders and agencies, with roots in automotive, hospitality, and enterprise technology, and as a strategic ally to organizations working in social impact and culture.

The commercial work brings scale and operational discipline. The cultural and social-impact work keeps the practice connected to people, place, and purpose. Each makes the other stronger.
Every engagement is led by a senior partner at the C-suite table. Gino leads that role personally. The person who pitches the work is the person who does it: no sales pod, no account-manager layer, no pyramid of juniors learning on your budget, no handoff once the ink dries.
Around that senior lead, Mutiny assembles the specialists each engagement requires: a creative director for one phase, an engineer for the hard part, a 3D artist for five shots. The engagement team scales down when the work is done. The network stays.
So, about that
hard problem.
We reply personally. A senior partner, not a sales pod. We'll tell you straight whether we can help.
Let's build it.
A senior partner reads every message. You'll get a straight answer.
